The Reds' history began in 1892 (when Everton had a dispute with their landlords at Anfield) - and what a history it has been. The most successful club in English football, they have won a record 18 League Championship titles as well as six FA Cups, seven League Cups, four European Cups and three UEFA Cups.

They have been resident in England's top flight for 1962 and until the emergence of Manchester United they were the dominant force in football, particularly under legendary managers Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.

Liverpool have not won the title since 1990 and have struggled to master the modern footballing scene.
