Imps set to land cash windfall
Lincoln's funds are set to be boosted by an extra £200,000 during the forthcoming off-season due to clauses in various transfer deals.Former Imps' defender Jack Hobbs moved from Liverpool to Leicester last week for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £400,000 and, due to a sell-on clause in the players' contract, Lincoln are set to receive 25% of that money.The Sincil Bank outfit will also receive £40,000 after goalkeeper Scott Loach reached 30 appearances for Watford, while Peterborough's recent promotion will see the Imps given £60,000 as part of the deal which took former manager Keith Alexander, who is now in charge of Macclesfield, to London Road in 2006."We have to try and put little deals in there which will benefit the football club," club chairman Steff Wright told BBC Radio Lincolnshire."Unfortunately the money isn't going to come through the turnstiles each season."On Hobbs, he added: "The actual fee is undisclosed and it won't go through until the transfer window opens again anyway but at that point we'll know how much we're owed from it."[LNB]
