IAN RUSH: Liverpool FC's Fernando Torres will take frustrations out on Benfica

Fernando Torres and Rafa Benitez 300[LNB]I'M expecting to see a fired up Fernando Torres take out his frustration on Benfica at Anfield on Thursday night.[LNB]A lot has been made about Rafa Benitez's decision to take Torres off with 25 minutes to go at St Andrew's on Sunday.[LNB]Torres clearly wasn't happy about going off and that was good to see as it showed just how much he cares.[LNB]It was a difficult situation for the manager. Torres did look tired and had given the ball away a few times. He'd also had a really tough night against Benfica three days earlier.[LNB]But with a player like him you never know what they are going to do. Even if he's not having the best of games he can produce something special. And when you hit the back of the net you certainly don't feel tired.[LNB]However, when you are fatigued there is a great risk of injury and maybe Rafa was worried he was going to pick up a knock and be ruled out for the rest of the season.[LNB]The manager knows what he's doing so we have to give him the benefit of the doubt.[LNB]Torres' replacement David Ngog missed a few chances but his movement was very good and he made a lot of those openings for himself.[LNB]When you are coming on for Torres there is great expectation on you and unfortunately Ngog doesn't have the same kind of confidence in front of goal.[LNB]If Ngog had put one of those chances away everyone would be saying what a great substitution it was.
