Houllier explains dugout appearance

Gerard Houllier has explained why he was on the Liverpool bench on Saturday. The former boss was sat alongside Roy Hodgson on the Liverpool bench for Jamie Carragher's testimonial on Saturday. After the game he explained why he had to sit there one more time. "It was a little joke between Roy and I. I asked him if I could sit next to him on the bench and he said yes. I wanted to have that feeling again," Houllier told LFC TV after the game. "It was important for me to be there to pay tribute to Jamie because I worked with him for six years and I enjoyed every minute of it. "It was nice to see people happy to see me and I was as happy as they were. When you spend a good time at a club and develop strong relationships, it's always good to go back."
