Honda told to make decision

VVV Venlo have admitted they would like Keisuke Honda's future to be resolved as quickly as possible. The Japanese midfielder has attracted attention from a number of leading European clubs following a stunning start to the season. Liverpool are understood to have been tracking his progress, although the 23-year-old did state last week that he was happy in Holland. The likes of PSV Eindhoven and Ajax are thought to be leading the chase and VVV have urged Honda to make a decision. President Hai Berden admits VVV would like to be able to bring in an adequate replacement before the end of the transfer window. "There has been sufficient time for clubs to approach us. We do not want to wait until the last day," Berden told AD Sportwereld. "We have received offers which meet our valuation but it depends where Honda wants to go." Berden added: "We have a number of players in mind but we will not rush into signing anyone."
