Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has dismissed rumours linking midfielder Lucas Leiva with an imminent move away from Anfield.
The 23-year-old Brazil international has reportedly been of interest to several clubs in Italy, but Hodgson is not waiting for a deal to be done so close to the shutting of the transfer window.
He told the club's official website: "If someone came in and offered us £20million for him and he wants to go we would consider it, but it is a bit late in the day, that's for sure.
"I'm not anxious to be getting rid of any players this late in the day.
"I'm certainly not looking to move anyone out now, because if they are moved out now the chances are they won't be replaced, because the transfer window is nearly closed."
