Henderson looks up to Lucas

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson is full of praise for his teammate Lucas Leiva.

The 30-year-old  Brazilian has been in good form for the Reds in Henderson's absense and will be missed if, as expected, he is to leave the club at the end of the season after 10 years at Anfield.

“Any person joining Liverpool Football Club, regardless of age, status or experience, who is looking for a role model or an example to follow then, for me, you look no further than Lucas Leiva," Henderson reveals in the matchday programme.

“Watching the Merseyside derby at the weekend, it was a reminder to everyone why he has been, and continues to be, so valuable to this club. In simple terms he sets the standard of professionalism and attitude of what it is to be a Liverpool player.”
