HATCHET MAN: Levy breathes a sigh of relief as Tottenham old boy Ramos fails to show him up at Anfie

Daniel Levy must be something of a relieved man today. The Tottenham chairman who pushed out Juande Ramos last October must have squirmed at least a little to see the Spaniard's renaissance at Real Madrid as Harry Redknapp's regime at White Hart Lane lost its initial shine. But after watching the once great club get humiliated by Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield on Tuesday Levy can rest easy in the knowledge that he will not be shown up by Ramos this season. Real Madrid trail Barcelona by six points in La Liga and don't look winning that, and after going out of Europe their temporary boss is set to be sent packing in the summer when his deal expires. That will be some kind of record, being pushed out of English and Spanish clubs in the same season. But when Ramos has Pepe failing embarrassingly in his attempt to bully Fernando Torres out of the game and the rest of the team chasing shadows the Juande has lost its magic.
