Barnsley boss Simon Davey has hailed the signing of young winger Adam Hammill from Liverpool as a 'great coup'. As revealed by skysports.com on Sunday, Hammill has completed his move to Oakwell from Anfield. The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract after the two clubs agreed a 'significant' six-figure fee. Liverpool-born Hammill spent a productive loan spell with the Tykes last term and Davey was always keen to make the move permanent. Great additionHe told Barnsley's official website: "Adam is a fantastic prospect and one we are delighted to bring to Oakwell on a permanent basis. "There was a lot of competition for his signature but Adam loved his time working with us last season and believes that this is the right place for him to develop as a player. He is young, talented and enthusiastic and a great addition to our squad. "He was loved by our supporters during his spell with the club last season and I am sure that they will be delighted to see him back in a Barnsley shirt on a permanent basis. "It is a great coup to bring him to Oakwell."
