Bundesliga club Hamburg are interested in signing Liverpool's Dutch international striker Dirk Kuyt, the Germany sports daily Bild reported on Friday.
"A player like Kuyt, who is still sharp, can bring a lot to any club. He's a selfless player with a great mentality," Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen told the newspaper.
The 31-year-old Kuyt, who has 85 caps for the national side, joined Liverpool in 2006 and is under contract until June 2013.
Hamburg are 14th in the Bundesliga just five points above the drop zone.
