Guti vows to gain Champions League revenge on 'lucky' Liverpool

Real Madrid midfielder Guti has claimed Liverpool got lucky in the Champions League first leg at the Bernabeu and says Madrid - inspired by their miraculous recovery in the league - can turn round the 1-0 deficit. Real were 12 points behind Barcelona three weeks ago but have closed the gap to just four points after they won 2-0 at Espanyol on Saturday and the Catalans lost 4-3 at Atletico Madrid on Sunday despite going 2-0 up. Guti said: 'Liverpool surprised us in the Bernabeu with a goal from a dead-ball situation. We did not deserve to lose the game and just because they won the first leg does not mean they have won the tie. "We will go to Anfield to win but we cannot afford to go crazy. It will be another very tactical encounter in which we have to take more risks than them. 'We feel that we are inferior to no team and we can win in any stadium. We are showing that we are solid defensively and we are taking our chances up front. We are on a very good run away from home which fills us with confidence.' Madrid coach Juande Ramos, who has now won 11 of his 13 games in charge added: 'They came to our place and won but there is no reason why we can't go to theirs and do exactly the same. 'We are on a fantastic run of results. We were on a real high in the run-up to the first leg and that is why it hurt so much to go 1-0 behind. "It was vital that we won the next game to get straight back into the run of good results and a good feeling in the squad.'
