Gunes braced for Liverpool challenge

Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes is well aware of the challenge awaiting his side in the Europa League play-off second leg at home to Liverpool.[LNB] The Turkish side were fortunate to leave Anfield a week ago only 1-0 down, after Joe Cole missed a penalty and Christian Poulsen had a goal disallowed.[LNB]Without an away goal it seemed their task was made more difficult but Gunes and his squad will have been boosted by the news Liverpool have left seven senior players - Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Maxi Rodriguez, Daniel Agger, Milan Jovanovic, Danny Wilson and Javier Mascherano - behind.[LNB]"I was not happy because our aim was to score over there and losing 1-0 was not a good result for us," he said.[LNB]"This is really a big challenge for us. Liverpool deserve to be in the Champions League, but they are playing in the Europa League and to reach the group stages will be very difficult for us.[LNB]"But to be a big team you have to pass these kind of obstacles and we will try to do this.[LNB]"Our aim is to play with many offensive players in order to make chances to score.[LNB]"The plan at Anfield was to get some creative players with dribbling ability involved but unfortunately we didn't have many chances to score."
