Sotirios Kyrgiakos's World Cup adventure is over. Greece were eliminated after losing their final group game, 2-0 to Argentina last night. Kyrgiakos played the full 90 minutes and helped keep Lionel Messi quiet for long periods of the game. It did seem that Greece were going to keep Argentina at bay but two goals in the last twelve minutes did for them. Maxi Rodriguez played just over an hour while Javier Mascherano was rested with Argentina already qualified.
