Gotze rumours resurface

It's the transfer rumour that won't go away!

Talk of Mario Gotze joining Liverpool is like a scene from Groundhog Day. The German has been linked with a possible move to Anfield last summer, in the January transfer window, and again today with Goal.com regurgitating the rumours.

According to Goal 'Jurgen Klopp could present Mario Gotze with the opportunity to resuscitate his career should he need to depart Borussia Dortmund, but only if a transfer materialises on Liverpool’s terms'

This is despite a severe dip in form since the 24-year-old attacking midfielder moved back from Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund last summer. Added to that is a metabolic disorder that is currently sidelining him.

Yes, Klopp likes the lad who used to play for him at his previous club, but onsidering attacking midfield is not one of Liverpool's priorities to strengthen in the summer, with Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Gini Wijnaldum all looking good, this is one transfer rumour that really should be put to bed.
