Good Evans: Former Liverpool boss Roy tells Rafa to keep row under wraps

Former Liverpool

manager Roy Evans has told Rafa Benitez to keep his Anfield contract saga private and not in the public domain.

Evans believes the old Liverpool way was best rather than almost daily bulletins through the media.

He said: 'It's becoming too public. Over the years Liverpool always kept such things under control. At the moment there's too much talk about it on the outside to the extent it almost overshadowed a great result in Madrid.

'They should go back to in-house talks and sort it out. It doesn't need to be a public debate.'

Differnt views: Benitez has been forced to put his point across but Evans reckons there has been too much talk coming out of Anfield
