Gerrard's Premier desire

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard believes the side will win the Premier League sooner rather than later and retains hope they could 'nick' the crown from Manchester United this term.[LNB] United are heavy favourites to win the title as they hold a three-point lead over the Reds and also have a game in hand over their fierce rivals.[LNB]Gerrard feels Liverpool are progressing under Rafa Benitez and are ready to challenge for the championship on a regular basis as they look to end their 19-year wait for the English crown.[LNB]"I honestly believe that this team will win the Premier League," said Gerrard.[LNB]So close"I believe I'll get my hands on it. If I said, 'I don't think we're going to win it' what would be the point of carrying on?[LNB]"We're so close to doing it this season I believe we can still nick it. [LNB]"If we don't and United close it out, then we're going to have a right good go at it over the next three, four or five years and I believe we're too good not to win it.[LNB]"Winning the title with Liverpool would mean the world to me."[LNB]
