Gerrard returns for Liverpool

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is set for a return to action against Fulham after a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old midfielder tore his hamstring on international duty in England's friendly against France on November 17. He has missed four Barclays Premier League matches, which have brought two wins and two defeats. Despite manager Roy Hodgson playing down Gerrard's chances in midweek the player has stepped up his training programme in the last few days. His return could not have been timed better with a busy festive period coming up.
