Gerrard praises Reds commitment

Liverpool skipper praised the team's effort and commitment after claiming three points at home to Everton. "That's what derbies are all about - passion, commitment, fight, and we beat a very good Everton side today with ten men so I think all the boys today should take a lot of credit for it," he said. "They've been on a fantastic run, so to stop them with ten men and playing good football at times, we're pleased."Attitude, sticking together - we always knew we'd be up against it at times but we knew that if we fought for set pieces and chances we knew we could get the right delivery and you always know you can nick a goal."I thought the referee was superb. He let tackles go, that's what derbies are about. That's what fans pay good money for, to come and see commitment and fight. I think from both times there were some mistimed tackles but we're not complaining and I don't think Everton will. "I think after today confidence will be sky high but we certainly won't get carried away. We've got two very difficult games on the road but if we show the effort and commitment we showed today I don't see why we can't go and get some points."
