Gerrard happy with win
Steven Gerrard was happy with England's result and performance last night. England gave a good account of themselves in yesterday's 3-1 win over Switzerland in Basel to the delight of the skipper. "I think the first-half performance was perfect. Everything the manager asked of us, we got the game plan spot on," said Gerrard. "I think we got a little bit lazy in the second half, they came into the game, but it was never in doubt. "People were talking about how good Switzerland are defensively, but we just tore them apart. "I think a lot of credit is deserved after beating Switzerland 3-1. It should have been five or six."
