Gerrard calm despite nightmare start

Steven Gerrard is refusing to panic at Liverpool's abysmal start to the Premier League season.

There has been uproar on Merseyside this week as the knives were sharpened for owner John Henry. Currently anchored in the bottom three, with just one point from their three games and a squad lacking in strikers, these are worrying times at Anfield.

However, Gerrard is keen not to get things out of proportion. "When you're not winning football matches it's tough," he said. "But when you have my kind of experience, you don't panic after three games."

The Liverpool and England skipper added: "We were fantastic against Manchester City and should have won. Against Arsenal it was the opposite.

"It's been a tough few weeks but it's not the time to panic. We can still take the club forward."
