Gary Cahill believes Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll would reap the benefits of playing for England Under 21s this summer in the European Championship.[LNB]The Bolton defender admits his experiences at that level in the 2007 finals have stood him in good stead. Cahill is set to make his first start for his country in tomorrow evening's friendly international with Ghana at Wembley.[LNB]He said: 'Having the experience at the different levels has been massive for me and everything you do is very similar all through the age groups.[LNB] Future boys: Wilshere (left) and Carroll (right) have been urged to get more international time experience with the Under 21s[LNB]'The way that you do things, the training and the style of play, is very similar so it definitely helps you.[LNB]'Obviously there's more pressure at senior level, but it has definitely stood me in good stead in terms of the Under 19s and Under 21s that I was involved with.[LNB]'The Under 21 finals in 2007 certainly did. As much as I didn't play as many games as I would have liked to, the general atmosphere and experience is pretty similar to the senior tournaments.[LNB]'Throughout the international set-up they structure it very similarly to the senior-set up so if you do get that call up you just fit in.[LNB]'Obviously the aim is to play in senior tournaments as that would be the pinnacle of your career.'[LNB] When asked if he would recommend Wilshere and Carroll to take part this summer, Cahill said: 'I think whenever you are asked, at whatever level it is, to play for your country, the lads would jump at the chance and would obviously love to do that.[LNB] Soaking it up: Cahill (second left) is now a regular in the England set up[LNB]'If they are selected I'm sure they will go and do well out there. It's all experience, whether it is Under 19s, Under 21s or senior level, it's all great experience to have.'[LNB]Cahill has first-hand experience of Wilshere from his loan spell at Bolton and believes it has helped with his development into becoming a key performer for Arsenal.[LNB]He said: 'Jack is a fantastic player and I thought when he came to our club that it was a great opportunity for him.[LNB]'I think he needed to be playing regular first team football and he really relished the opportunity. You can see that going back to Arsenal and playing the amount of games he has done, big games as well. He's done fantastic.[LNB]'Everyone can see the ability he has, but he's also a top lad and a really nice guy to be around. He's going to be a top player for many years to come, I think you could see that in the game against Barcelona. That was probably the game that impressed me the most.[LNB]Career high: Cahill says there's nothing better than playing for your country[LNB]'Working at close quarters with him last year I can say that he issuperb and he's only going to get better,' added Cahill. 'I think it'simportant to go out on loan when you need regular first team football.[LNB]'I did it and it benefited me massively, and Jack has done the same. For Jack to come to a Premier League side and get that experience atthe level he is going to be at for many years, I thought it wasfantastic for his education and he will no doubt say the same.'[LNB]Cahill admits he will be bursting with pride when he walks out at Wembley tonight.[LNB]Hesaid: 'Obviously it's a great honour. I'm really looking forward to it.It's a great opportunity for myself to go out there on a great pitchand enjoy my football.[LNB]'I'll go out and enjoy playing for my country. There's no better moment than that in your whole career.[LNB]'Youprobably can prepare a little different when you know you're going tobe involved from the start, as opposed to the circumstances in my firsttwo caps coming off the bench.[LNB]'But hopefully I can do it no different to my first two caps, enjoying myself and playing with a smile on my face.[LNB] 'I'llbe working as hard as I can and really relishing the opportunity toplay for my country. I am pleased with my form. I think the best thingfor me is I've been playing on a more consistent basis in recentmonths, so I'm happy with my form and my fitness.'  Fabio calls up Welbeck in bid to end Ghana interest in Sunderland strikerSo, who will be on show at Wembley as England host Ghana in friendly?Big match dossier: Why Wembley showdown is more than just a friendlyTrailblazer from Ghana who became England's first black footballer [LNB]  Explore more:People: Jack Wilshere, Gary Cahill, Andy Carroll Places: Barcelona, Ghana
