Swansea City have confirmed former Liverpool striker Besian Idrizaj has died at the age of 22 - reportedly of a suspected heart attack.[LNB] Idrizaj, who joined Swansea on a two-year contract last summer, passed away in his sleep on Friday night, with early reports claiming the striker had suffered a heart attack at his family home in Austria.[LNB]He first tried to make the breakthrough in English football with Liverpool, but failed to make a first-team appearance during his time at Anfield.[LNB]Loan spells were undertaken at Luton Town and Crystal Palace before he had a temporary stint at Wacker Innsbruck in his homeland in 2008.[LNB]During a game for Wacker against Sturm Graz in February of that year, Idrizaj collapsed on the pitch, with the cause later confirmed as a virus and not a heart attack.[LNB]He moved to the Liberty Stadium in August last year from German club FC Eilenburg and made four appearances for Paulo Sousa's side.[LNB]His agent has confirmed to the Championship club that Idrizaj has died, although the cause of his death has yet to be ascertained.
