Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey is to spend a second season with the Newcastle Jets in Australia's A-League.

"Everything is agreed and I will be coming back next season," Heskey told the Jets' website.

The 35-year-old, who has 62 England caps, Sydney FC's Alessandro Del Piero and Western Sydney Wanderers' Shinji Ono have all agreed to extend their one-year marquee player contracts in Australia.

Heskey, who has scored nine goals in 23 league appearances for the Jets, played for Liverpool, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Leicester City and played in two World Cups.
