"Unfortunately, Roberto Firmino has struggled a little bit," Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told reports ahead of the game at Anfield. "He felt something after the game and until now this week, he couldn’t train.
"We need to wait a little bit more and then we will see.”
It would be a blow for Klopp, with Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge also ruled out through injury.
Liverpool will be hoping there is no repeat of the defeat at the hands of the Clarets when the two sides met at Turf Moor back in August.
