Final ticket plea for 21st Hillsborough anniversary service at home of Liverpool FC Anfield

AROUND 8,500 tickets have been reserved for tomorrow's Hillsborough memorial service.[LNB]Liverpool FC fans will flock to Anfield on Thursday afternoon to mark the 21st anniversary of the tragedy. You can visit our Hillsborough section on the website by clicking here.[LNB]The annual service takes place inside the stadium, starting at 2.45pm, to remember the 96 fans killed in the disaster.[LNB]This year Liverpool FC has chosen to make the occasion an all-ticket 10,000 seater event for safety reasons.[LNB]Organisers today stressed that tickets will not be available on the day, meaning today is the last opportunity for people to book their seat.[LNB]Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge and Inspector Bernie Swift from Merseyside Police will deliver the readings.[LNB]Jenni Hicks and Pat Joynes, who lost their children on the Leppings Lane, will release balloons into the air during the service, following on from last year's memorial.[LNB]You'll Never Walk Alone will be sung by Neil McHale, who is a regular attendee at the anniversary events.[LNB]Last year almost 30,000 people attended the memorial service to mark the symbolic 20th anniversary.[LNB]The numbers took organisers by surprise as all four stands inside the ground were opened up to accommodate the crowds.
