Joey Barton appears to have played his last match for Newcastle after being sent off for a senseless foul in the 3-0 defeat at Anfield. St James' Park boss Alan Shearer will hammerthe errant midfielder with a £120,000 fineafter accusing him of 'lettingdown' the club with the two-footed lunge on Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso as his team limped to another crushing defeat. It was the fourth sending off of Barton's career and the result left his side stuck third frombottom of the Barclays Premier League. Newcastle's angry caretaker-managerwarned him to expect the maximum fineof two weeks' wages, saying: 'He wasn'tunlucky to be sent off, it was the right decision. 'The referee was spot on showinghim a straight red card, and I agreewith the decision completely. We will bewithout Joey for the rest of the seasonnow and I'm not happy at all.'
