Fernando Torres welcomes baby Leo as Liverpool striker's wife Olalla gives birth

Fernando Torres became a father to his second child as his Liverpool team-mates brushed aside Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Spain striker missed the 3-0 romp at Anfield to be with his wife Olalla, who gave birth to a boy at Liverpool Women's Hospital.

Rumoured to be called Leo, the child has a 17-month old sister Nora, who was born in mum's native Galicia.

Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso, who left Liverpool for Real Madrid 16 months, was a surprise visitor to Anfield for the match on Monday and is said to have joined up with Torres to celebrate the birth.

The 26-year-old married Olalla in May last year in a private ceremony with just two guests at the local town hall in El Escoril, a suburb north of Madrid.

They had been item for eight years and are thought to have met in the Galician seaside town of Estorde, where Torres would go on family holidays each year to escape the Spanish capital.
