Fernando Torres left out of Spain squad after suffering groin strain in Liverpool defeat

Fernando Torres has been left out of Spain's squad for their upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers at home to Lithuania and away to Scotland.[LNB]The Liverpool striker, who has been battling for full fitness since the end of last season, is desperately short of form and confidence, finding the net just once all season for his club. [LNB]He was withdrawn just 10 minutes into the Reds' humiliating 2-1 defeat by Blackpool on Sunday. Torres headed straight for the dressing room with what manager Roy Hodgson later revealed was a groin strain.[LNB] Out for the count: Liverpool's Fernando Torres lasted just 10 minutes of the loss to Blackpool[LNB]'He has a groin strain, but I don't know how severe it is,' the Liverpool manager said.
