Fairclough positive about High Court ruling

Former Liverpool legend David Fairclough believes that the cloud can now be lifted at Anfield. After the High Court ruled in favour of the board's decision to sell to NESV, Fairclough was in praise of Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre. "It's fantastic that they've put their reputations on the line and chose what they think was the right bid for the right reasons and were brave enough to say that was the power given to them," he said. "Hopefully it will all work out well and it'll be a tremendous partnership.  Purslow, Martin Broughton and Ian Ayre have been working steadfastly behind the scenes to bring this all to a head."Hopefully the cloud has lifted a little bit because it has been a bit dark around Liverpool in recent months with so much doubt and uncertainty and ultimately it will affect what goes on on the pitch. It shouldn't do but it looks like it has done, but now if the club can move forward in a positive way that can only be good for all aspects of the club and certainly the playing side should improve."There will be no sympathy for Hikcs and Gillett from Liverpool fans. While they did try to do some positive things, the lies they have told have come back to haunt them."
