RAFA BENITEZ has revealed he would not hesitate to use the services of Marianna Kovacevic again after her 'miracle cure' restored four Liverpool players to fitness.
Yossi Benayoun, Fabio Aurelio, Albert Riera and Glen Johnson could all figure against Manchester City this afternoon after flying to see Kovacevic in Belgrade.
Her revolutionary idea of massaging injured muscles with a cream made up of liquid from horse placenta has ensured that quartet are available again well ahead of time.
Benayoun and Riera, for example, were initially ruled out for up to a month after tearing their hamstrings against Birmingham 12 days ago but both trained normally yesterday.
A number of clubs have sought Kovacevic's help - Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is understood to be the latest player to see her - and Benitez will certainly use her again.
'We knew different players in the Premier League had used this before and it was a good treatment for muscle injury,' said Benitez, whose side face Manchester City today.
'It's all about using the placenta and a machine with waves. They put a cream on the muscle and they massage the area (that is effected) - it's not about injections.
'We had two players there and the treatment was good. We knew (Robin) van Persie (of Arsenal) was around, (Pablo) Zabaleta and (Vincent) Kompany of (City) were there too.
