What better way to close your eyes and remember a simpler time for the nascent Premier League than by basking in some old-fashioned fixture nostalgia?

Twenty years ago, after the final game of the 1994/95 season, Blackburn were confirmed as champions at Anfield despite a 2-1 defeat.

It was a different world then: Kenny Dalglish was still a cutting edge coach, Tim Sherwood was a title-winning captain rather than a relegation-scrapping coach and silverware could still be bought by homegrown sugar-daddies like Jack Walker rather than overseas sugar-daddies like Roman Abramovich.
