Europa League: Liverpool face Zenit St Petersburg at Anfield in second leg

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is short on strikers for the second leg of the Europa League last-32 tie with Zenit St Petersburg on Thursday. Striker Fabio Borini is out of contention after sustaining a shoulder injury in Sunday's 5-0 thrashing of Swansea that will probably keep him out for at least six weeks. Fellow forward Daniel Sturridge and playmaker Philippe Coutinho are ineligible to play in the competition, while defender Martin Skrtel is doubtful with a knee problem suffered in training. Last week's first leg was Zenit's first competitive game since December and goals from Hulk and Sergei Semak secured a 2-0 win. Hulk was partnered up front by Aleksandr Kerzhakov, who had declared himself fit to play after recovering from a number of niggles, and the Russia international will hope to keep his place. Zenit will be hoping to preserve their two-goal advantage to set up a last-16 tie against either Basel or Dnipro.
