Dynamo Moscow make improved 8m bid for Liverpool star Yossi Benayoun

Dynamo Moscow are ready to make an improved £8million bid for Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun. The Russians claim they have already agreed terms with the Israel international, but their initial £7m bid was rejected. The transfer window remains open in Russia until their domestic season starts in March, but Dynamo have set a two-week deadline to try to complete the tug of war. Benayoun: On target for Liverpool in their Champions League clash with Fiorentina in December Their bid has been complicated further by another unnamed club entering the race and offering to match Lokomotiv's bid and make a better offer on personal terms to the 29-year-old. Benitez: Will be reluctant to lose Benayoun Speculation in Russia suggests Lokomotiv could be the interested party following their failure to land attacking midfielder Marat Izmailov from Sporting Lisbon. Rafa Benitez would be reluctant to part with Benayoun and blocked a similar offer from Spartak Moscow last year. Dynamo sources insist that the Merseysiders have not closed the door on a deal, despite publilcly insisting that the Israel midfielder is not for sale. However, the Benitez would surely not be happy if the club cashed in now and he was unable to reinvest. Dynamo are also eyeing Stuttgart's Alexander Hleb, the former Arsenal midfielder, as an alternative.  Harry Kewell's agent slams British medics for ruingin Aussie's careerLiverpool reignite plans for new stadium with call for fresh investmentFulham snap up Liverpool youngster Christopher BuchtmannLiverpool boss Rafa Benitez denies claims over Juventus job agreementLIVERPOOL FC
