Dossena agent urges Napoli

The agent of Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena has urged Napoli to make a serious move to sign his client in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old Italy international has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and came close to heading back to Italy before the new season got underway.

Federico Pastorello told Radio Kiss Kiss: "The deal in August was real, but the problem was not just related to the contract.

"In fact, Liverpool, never even gave us the green light to deal with Napoli, at least not officially.

"Just over a year ago, Liverpool invested £8.5million plus bonuses in Andrea and they weren't willing to let him go for half that figure.

"What about January? He has played less this year and it is clear that Liverpool have to move him on. If Napoli want Dossena, they know how."
