Dossena admits Juve appeal

Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena has held discussions with manager Rafa Benitez over his lack of first-team football and admits he would 'like' to play for Juventus. The Italian failed to make an impact in his debut season in England following a £7million move from Udinese last July. Dossena was consistently second choice to Fabio Aurelio for the Reds and the left-back admits he is not happy with his limited opportunities. The 27-year-old has talked to Benitez and the pair are said to have reached an agreement to find a 'common solution'. "It has been an important experience", he told Italian media. "I've learnt English and I've compared myself at a different and high level of football. "But I would like to have more opportunities (to play). And I've spoken about it with Benitez. We agreed to find a common solution." Dossena has been linked with a return to his homeland, as Juventus - who were understood to be competing with Liverpool for his signature in 2008 - are rumoured to be keen on defensive reinforcements. And the Italy international confesses that a move to the Stadio Delle Alpi would appeal. He added when asked about Juventus: "Of course I would like it. Someone spoke about this possibility at the end of last season. But then Liverpool arrived."
