Dirk Kuyt urges Liverpool teammates to shoulder some of blame for Roy Hodgson's exit

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has called on his teammates to accept some of the blame following the demise of Roy Hodgson's reign at Anfield. [LNB]Hodgson parted company with the club after ten defeats in 31 games and their lowest points tally coming into the New Year since 1953/54 when the club were relegated.[LNB]The 3-1 defeat away at Blackburn was the final straw for owner John W Henry who removed Hodgson and placed Kop legend Dalglish in temporary charge. [LNB] Step it up: Kuyt wants better performances from Liverpool teammates[LNB]Kuyt was dismayed to see the former Fulham and Inter Milan coach depart, but believes the appointment of Dalglish was significant.[LNB]'It is very sad that Roy has gone because you can never just blame one man. We must all take the blame and perform better,' he said.[LNB]'It's disappointing to lose a manager like that but a very big plus that we can bring in someone like Kenny.[LNB]'Kenny Dalglish is a legend and a very important man for this club.' Kuyt told liverpoolfc.tv: 'I think it says everything about him as a man that he is here to help us and put us back where we belong.[LNB]'He is a very experienced man and someone who can have a positive impact on the squad.
