DIC reveal Reds discussions

Dubai Investment Capital have revealed they are in 'advanced discussions' to buy a stake in Liverpool.
The consortium had been rumoured to be in talks with the Reds' co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett for many weeks.
DIC, the private equity investment arm of the Dubai Government, had been expected to complete a takeover at Anfield before the American duo stepped in at the 11th hour 14 months ago.
However, Gillett is believed to be willing to sell his share in the Merseyside club following an unhappy spell at the helm during which he and Hicks have come under fire from unhappy supporters.
Meanwhile, Hicks is believed to be keen to retain his shareholding despite claims from DIC that they want to buy both American businessmen out.
"Dubai International Capital confirms that it is in advanced discussions with the co-owners of LFC but that no agreement has been reached on price or shareholding percentage," read a DIC statement.
