DIC deny deadline talk

Dubai International Capital (DIC) have denied they have handed a deadline to Liverpool co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks after tabling a £400million bid for the club.
Reports on Tuesday morning suggested DIC would withdraw their offer for the Reds if their bid was not accepted by midnight.
However, the company's spokesperson, Jehad Saleh, has cooled the speculation, saying: "No figures have been (publicly) mentioned, and talks are ongoing. No timeline has been set on the talks."
DIC chief executive Sameer al-Ansari had earlier confirmed talks with Gillett and Hicks had taken place.
He had said: "It's no secret that we've been in discussions with the current owners. It's not easy because the owners are in dreamland about valuations at the moment."
Al-Ansari later clarified that one of the club's owners "had come out of dreamland."
It has also been reported that Hicks has been trying to raise the capital necessary to buy out his partner, although he has described such speculation as "premature".
