Delgado aiming for Reds shock

Lyon winger Cesar Delgado is aiming to pile more pressure on stuttering Liverpool in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League encounter. Lyon suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat against Sochaux over the weekend but otherwise they have been in excellent form this season. Liverpool, by contrast, have endured a difficult period both domestically and in Europe and will be desperate to pick up three points at Anfield to boost their chances of progressing to the last 16. Delgado hopes Lyon can take advantage of any nerves from the Reds, telling skysports.com: "The loss to Sochaux will not affect our performance in the Champions League. "In theory it is difficult to play at Anfield but right now the Reds are not in the best moment. "It is true they will not want to fail at home but I consider that we have a good chance for a positive result." Lyon have also been boosted by the return of Lisandro Lopez for the trip to England, while Liverpool will be without the injured Fernando Torres. "The team have recuperated Lisandro and this increases our power in attack, but it will be key to put pressure on our opponents to make the most of our chances," Delgado added. "It is unquestionable that the absence of Fernando Torres will damage Liverpool." Lyon have won their opening two fixtures in Group E and Delgado insists they will adopt a positive approach as they go in search of another victory. "We have completed our first two matches successfully and now our objective is to ensure qualification and fight for top spot," he said. "Liverpool will be under more pressure to win and that generates a double question. "They will attack but could also get anxious and we will not go there with a defensive system."
