Defender set for Liverpool switch

Uruguayan international centre half Sebastian Coates is set for a move to Liverpool as Kenny Dalglish continues to add to his squad.

Dalglish is overseeing a revolution of the playing staff at Anfield and, having seen Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos join Wolfsburg on a free transfer, he is on the lookout for a classy defender and Coates certainly fits that bill.

At just 20-years-old and standing 6ft 6 inches tall, Coates is seen as a sound buy for the future as well as an immediate addition to their first team, if he were to sign then he would become the sixth signing of the summer for the Reds boss.

Dalglish is not alone though in his admiration for the Nacional player as Manchester City have been strongly linked with a move as well and the asking price of £12m would not trouble them.
