Danny Wilson set for Rangers return on loan

Danny Wilson is set to return to Rangers just a year after quitting Ibrox in a ?5million switch to Liverpool.

Reds manager Kenny Dalglish is an admirer of Wilson but wants the 19-year-old defender to head back north for some first-team experience.

Wilson has started one Premier League game since arriving at Anfield last July and has played a handful of Europa League matches.

The Scotland international has been offered back to the SPL champions on a season-long loan.

New Gers boss Ally McCoist is on the lookout for a centre-half as Madjid Bougherra looks set to leave Ibrox with a host of Premier League side's keep a close eye on the Algerian's situation.

Bougherra is keen for another crack at the English top flight after a spell at Charlton earlier in his career.

He said: 'My focus is still on the Premier League. I played there for six months with Charlton and I want to go back as six months isn't a long time.'
