Dalglish flies back for Downing talks
Kenny Dalglish has flown back from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the Far East to negotiate Stewart Downing's transfer. Aston Villa have agreed a £20m fee for the England winger and given Liverpool permission to talk to the player. It is likely that Villa will now look to bring in Scott Parker on loan from West Ham to replace Downing.
