Dalglish challenges team to go on run

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish admits the prospect of missing out on European football is a disappointing one and has challenged his players to step up their efforts for the remainder of the Barclays Premier League season. One avenue for qualification was closed off when the Reds exited the Europa League and their final chance lies in finishing fifth. Dalglish has not ruled out catching Spurs but with only one target to focus on now he is hoping it will concentrate the minds of his players. "I don't know if going out of the Europa League is going to help," said the Scot. "The Europa League was an option for us to get back in it next year if we had won it. "We will do our best to get as much as we can out of every game so I don't know whether it will be a blessing or not."
