Dale gets Reds rookie Darby

Rochdale have signed Liverpool reserve-team defender Stephen Darby on a season-long loan. Dale have beaten off interest from Doncaster, MK Dons and Oldham to secure the services of the 22-year-old. Darby has represented Liverpool in both the Champions League and the Premier League, but his last first-team appearance at the club came almost a year ago. He spent last season on loan at fellow League One side Notts County, where he made 27 appearances.
