Crouch backs Carragher ahead of World Cup Finals
Peter Crouch has backed Fabio Capello's decision to select Jamie Carragher in his preliminary England squad for the World Cup Finals next month. "I played with Carragher for a number of years when I was at Liverpool and he's been a top-class centre-half for a long time," said Crouch. "He has played in Europe a lot and he has a great deal of experience. "Although he has been away from the England set-up for a little bit, you know he's going to come in and be able to fit into the high-pressure games. He's never going to let anyone down."
