Crocked Johnson set to hand Liverpool major boost with first-team return

Back: Glen Johnson[LNB]Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez hopes right-back Glen Johnson will return to fitness next week.[LNB]Johnson has been out of action since sustaining a knee injury in the 1-0 win at Aston Villa on December 29, 2009.[LNB]And the Anfield boss, who has just welcomed Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun back to the first-team fold, is hopeful his big-money summer signing will return to action soon.[LNB]He said: 'I think we have enough quality, Yossi Benayoun is coming back, Fernando Torres is coming back, hopefully Glen Johnson will come back in the next week.[LNB]'So we are now bringing players back and the competition will be better for us and hopefully we can improve.[LNB]When questioned on his view of Vincent Kompany's challenge on Benayoun which might have earned Liverpool a late penalty during Sunday's goalless draw, Benitez added: 'Yossi thought it was a penalty but was trying to play on.[LNB]'Sometimes it is good in terms of fair play and sometimes it is bad for the result.
