Cole: Top four is target
Midfielder Joe Cole believes Liverpool can still finish in the top four this season.
The Reds currently trail fourth-placed Manchester City by seven points, but Cole hopes victory against Aston Villa on Monday night can help them close that gap.
"I still think the top four is possible," said Cole. "We have a new manager, new owners, new staff behind the scenes.
"There has been a big turnover and I think it would be a realistic achievement to get there."
Liverpool are through to the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup following Thursday`s draw in Bucharest, and Cole remains hopeful he will be playing Champions League football next term.
"We`ve got two realistic chances of winning silverware," he added. "I`d love to add a European trophy to what I have achieved."
