Joe Cole hopes he is still on the radar of England manager Fabio Capello, despite now playing his football in France.[LNB] The 29-year-old midfielder, who won the last of his 56 caps during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, is rebuilding his career with French champions Lille after his move from Chelsea to Liverpool fell flat.[LNB]Sent off on his debut for the Reds and blighted by fitness and poor form after that, Cole joined Rudi Garcia's side on a season-long loan in August and has made an immediate impression.[LNB]He laid on a goal on his debut against St Etienne and has since opened his own goalscoring account, and he hopes that his form will not go unnoticed.[LNB]"I miss playing for my country," he said in an interview with The Guardian.[LNB]"I was a regular in the squad for 10 years and perhaps took it for granted I would always be there.[LNB]"Now, having not been picked for a year, turning 30 next month and with the young players having come in and done well, you start to wonder: 'Are they still looking at me?'[LNB]"I hope I will be noticed. A lot of people in England questioned why I came over and maybe wrote me off. Perhaps they're now thinking I'm not finished after all.[LNB]"It's not that I want to prove them wrong - that would be the wrong motivation - but I do want to prove to myself that I'm still a top player. This is an environment where I can do that."
