Clarke to agree new deal

Steve Clarke is ready to commit his future to Liverpool. The club are expected to offer Clarke a three-year deal at the end of the season to continue as Kenny Dalglish's assistant. The 47-year-old was appointed the day after Dalglish took over as temporary manager back in January, and has a lot of respect for the Liverpool legend. “Every manager I’ve worked with, you pick up good qualities from all of them and so far, in a short space of time, I’ve seen a lot of great qualities from Kenny,” he said. “I hope to continue the work into the future.” News of negotiations with FSG supports recent rumours that Dalglish is to be offered the manager job on a permanent basis.
