According to the Times[LNB], the 21-year-old's contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the next season and both clubs are hopeful of signing the England international with the promise of regular football. [LNB]Mancienne has been at Chelsea since he was 12 but has reportedly become frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities, particularly under former manager Luiz Felipe Scolari. [LNB]Mancienne returned from a loan spell with Wolves in January hopeful that it would kick-start a run in the Chelsea starting XI. However, that has so far failed to materialise and the defender is concerned this will impact on his chances of securing a place with England U21's at the European Championship finals. [LNB]Stuart Pearce, the U21 head coach, has stressed that he will only pick players who are performing regularly. [LNB]Mancienne is due to open talks regarding a new contract with Chelsea at the end of the season, but the Times claims he will take an open-minded approach to other offers. [LNB]Man City are also in the hunt for Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton. [LNB]City, Fulham and Tottenham are ready to join Aston Villa in the race to sign the £4m-rated 20-year-old. [LNB]
